Franz Wesselman was born in Den Hague, Holland and after his two year conscription gained a diploma in print making and photography at the Groningen College of Art. He spent a short spell in the South of Ireland before moving permanently to England.People are central to his work, which is also based on the close observation of the natural world. Often his etchings and stained glass tell a story. Frans is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.
