Flora McLachlan studied at Brighton College and then went to Oxford university to study English 1994-97. She returned to art and in 1999 took a Professional Development Diploma in Illustration at West Herts College, Watford. In January 2008 she was elected as an Associate Membership of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE). Flora McLachlan is inspired by poetry and the powerful and strange images found in fairy tales and myths. She has had several exhibitions, both solo shows and mixed exhibitions.
