Geoffrey Elliott, painter and printmaker, was born in Derbyshire and studied both at Derby College of Art and Brighton College of Art. He became a lecturer at Wolverhampton College of Art and then for many years lectured at Brighton College of Art (1964-75). He travelled extensively and in 1983 emigrated to Australia where he continues to work as an artist. During his successful career he has held many exhibitions and his work is held in public collections such as The Tate Collection and the British Council. He has received many commissions for his work both here and abroad including work for Shell, BP and Trust House Forte.
